…organizing my projects into small steps

I had a big aha over the weekend as I was listening to a recording of Ali Brown's Millionaire Time & Productivity Secrets call… when you treat a project as a task it will lead to overwhelm.

Thank you, Ali!  I knew that but quickly forgot what I knew when I found myself under the gun with several open projects!  I was treating each project as a task and that was absolutely making me feel very overwhelmed.

As soon as I heard this simple reframe I knew what to do to get myself back on track.  I logged into my www.mindjet.com account and created a mind map which, as you can see, allowed me to get ALL the steps down on paper, in ONE place.

I've already started checking things off (Yay!)

When you run your own show there will be times it all comes at once…project upon project that needs your attention.  In the early days of your business this can be especially overwhelming because you don't have a team in place.  I luckily do have a few team members to help me out; I'd never be able to do all this without them.

So when is the right time to start getting help in your business?  And, WHAT exactly do you get help with?  I used to have those same questions too so this week I'm going to share with you my delegation breakdown list.  I hope you find it helpful!

Passion Into Profit Delegation Breakdown List

In the early days of your business I know it's tempting to want to do it all yourself!  I'm a classic DIY'er and I did do so much myself for so long that I often became the bottleneck in my own business.

Little by little I've learned how to delegate.  This allows me to spend much more of my time working in my zone of genius:  working directly with my clients and groups AND coming up with new ideas and marketing.  As my business continues to expand I keep adding people to support me.  It always pays, in spades!

So when do you start delegating?  As soon as you can.  Listen, I know you're probably really good at picking up a lot of new skills, just like I am.  BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, just because you can doesn't mean you should.  All the time you spend learning a new skill could be used for doing what you do best, including growing your sales!

There comes a time for every business owner when you'll have to bite the bullet and hire your first in-person or virtual assistant, website designers, accountants, bookkeepers, etc.
