Hi
there ,
Do you follow astrology? I do...a bit. I mean I like to
read my horoscope every day and I get a kick out of
being a Gemini! With that said I've often heard
astrologers speak about Mercury Retrograde
but
haven't felt its effects quite like I have over the last few
weeks.
Apparently when the planet Mercury is retrograde its
movement in the universe slows down. How does
that affect us on planet earth? Well, life can feel a little
more sluggish. It can feel a lot harder to move
forward. Mercury retrograde also affects electronics
so be sure you back up your computer!
When Mercury is retrograde it's a time to pause
and "re" things in life; redo, revisit, refocus, reconsider,
etc...I think it's a gift, this time, to go back and take
a
look at what's up! That's exactly what I've been doing!
I've been spending the last few weeks clearing the
clutter in my home and office. I like clear shelves but
for some reason over the last weeks I've felt very
compelled to clear out more clutter than usual. I know
this is because I've got a lot of big and exciting
projects coming up and I need to set the ground work
for their growth.
I've also been tempted to go back and revisit the plans
I have for LifeOnTrack.com. I'm happy that by doing
that I feel I'm still very on track and just need to shift a
few things to move it into this next phase.
Why am I sharing all of this with you? I think it's
important to remember that feeling "out of it"
or "sluggish" or "lazy" or "unfocused" may have
nothing to do with your character as a person. It
may
have a lot to do with the energy of the planet. There is
so much more that impacts us then what we can see
with our eyes, hear with our ears, and feel with our
hands. There's just so much more.
When you find yourself struggling take a moment
to
pause and allow yourself to feel what's going on
within you at a deeper level. Try to connect to the
subtle energy that courses through your body.
What is
your subtle energy trying to communicate to you?
Slow down? Clear the clutter? Have fun and laugh?
Reconsider a recently made decision? Take a
moment to pause and listen to this very wise part of
yourself. Notice its messages to you.
This week I share with you one of my favorite poems
by Mary Oliver, "Wild Geese". I hope it
inspires you to
listen closely to the "soft animal of your body and
love
what it loves." For when you do, you'll know what
to do
next.
Wishing you LOTS of happiness and success and all
the recognition you can handle...,

Wild Geese by Mary Oliver
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert,
repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
Love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you
mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the
rain
Are moving across the landscapes,
Over the prairies and the deep trees,
The mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue
air,
Are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely
The world offers itself to your imagination,
Calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
Over and over announcing your place
In the family of things.

allowing your true nature to lead the way
"As the traveler who has lost his way, throws his reins
on his horse's neck, and trusts to the instinct of the
animal to find his road, so must we do with the divine
animal who carries us through this world" -- Ralph
Waldo Emerson
What do your instincts tell you about your next move in
the world?
LISTEN to the part of yourself that is whole and
unaffected by outside influences. LISTEN to the part of
yourself that knows what is best for you now.
LISTEN to the untamed, wild animal that lives in you.
Listen to where it wants to go. Listen to how it wants to
be set free.
Let yourself go - in the best way possible.
ENJOY your weekend and remember the POWER that
YOU are.
