Hi there ,

Last Friday I found out one of my oldest and best friends had a terrible car accident. The roads were icy and as she passed a truck her wheel caught the median. Her car rolled four times. She wound up in the opposite lane of traffic, facing the other direction. She lost the back window. Crushed the top. People pulled over to assist her. The paramedics were called.

And she walked away without a scratch.

Miracle?

Ah, yeah!


There is a magic to life. You never really know THE PLAN the UNIVERSE has for you. You may never know why certain events occur in your life.


I’ve witnessed “miracles” more than once in my life. I’m not talking about saintly miracles, rather everyday miracles. Good things happen and it makes no sense why they happen. They just do.

I like to think it’s possible to be graced by a miracle every day. Is this Pollyanna-ish of me? Perhaps. But when I consider the other views I could take on life I like the Pollyanna view best. Why not believe in miracles? I like to think that I could be graced by a miracle or two in my life, right when I need one.

I once heard someone say, “expect a miracle”. Why not expect good fortune and miraculous events to occur on your behalf? They happen every day to people just like you and me.

My friend will tell you so.

I think my friend was open to a miracle (btw, her name is Teri). She later told me that when her car hit the median all she could do was LET GO. She didn’t fight it. She said she prayed. And I have to think deep inside she knew a miracle was possible. I’m so glad one graced her life that day.

Creating the life you most want requires an active engagement on your part. I talk a lot about how you can create a life you love. But I also need to say, leave room for a miracle. After all your planning and visioning and action, leave room for the totally unexpected, yet completely wonderful, to happen. I like to think you’ll be graced by a miracle right when you need one too.
