A Personal Note from Cari

Hi there,

Happy New Year! I think **this** might be the most wonderful time of year. I had a very busy holiday stretch, with lots of celebrating and down time. (Did it feel to you like it went on forever)? I'm not complaining, but I am glad to be BACK and I'm looking forward to reconnecting with all of you!

Over the holidays I had time to update my facebook page, create my 2009 vision board and write my 3-year vision! I've wanted to do all these things for awhile but really needed to feel inspired before I got going on them. I wanted to infuse all of them with as much love, soul and belief as I could muster!

Question for you, have you created your 2009 vision board yet? If not, I'm here to help!

In the spirit of the New Year this week's encore article is my well received LifeOnTrack.com's WORLD FAMOUS, Action-Focusing, Dream-Attracting, Power-Boosting, Success-Building Vision Board Process. My vision board process has become such a hit I'm being interviewed about it next week! If you want to listen in and get a little personal instruction you can reserve your seat here. During the teleclass I'm going to walk listeners through my vision board process and answer any questions that come up. I hope you can join us!

Yes, this year is going to be amazing! Seriously, I love this time of year and I know so many of you are ready to get going! I am too so stay tuned...I'll be making lots of announcements over the next several weeks!

Cari Vollmer's
Facebook profileIn the meantime, why don't we start the year by becoming facebook friends! All you need to do is click on my image to the right and add me as your friend and I'll be sure to say yes! It's a great way to stay connected. I just updated my page with some of my favorite photos of 2008! I invite you to take a peek. :)

This weekend I'll be celebrating my daughter Kasie's 13th birthday! I can't believe my baby is going to officially enter her teenage years! I have to say, she's doing so with gusto and grace and I'm so proud of her. I'll have a few photos for you next week.

Bye for now...

Love,

LifeOnTrack.com's WORLD FAMOUS, Action-Focusing, Dream-Attracting, Power-Boosting, Success-Building Vision Board Process

Ready to have a little fun?

Good, because that's exactly what you'll have as you create a vision board that is a perfect reflection of your dreams!

There are many, many ways to create a vision board. Basically, a vision board is something you create to anchor your dreams visually.

Anchors are important because they serve as reminders of what we most want and what we hold most dear.

The LifeOnTrack.com Vision Board process is simple, unique and powerful. Here's what you'll need for supplies:

Poster board in the color of your choice
Old magazines
A nice picture of yourself you can duplicate
Pens, markers, and other things to "accessorize" your board
Computer and printer
Scissors, glue and tape

Process

1. Get grounded. Take a few deep, relaxing breaths and feel yourself growing calm, open and inspired.

2. Imagine your best life. What are your hopes and dreams for your future...let's say three years from now? Imagine your ideal life (including business) in as much detail as possible for all the KEY areas of your life; home, family, career, spiritually, health, money, fun. Allow these images to flood your mind and sweep through your body. You should feel really good right now!

3. Now, with your eyes still closed, imagine your life this year. What are your wishes for the next 12- 15 months? What do you need to do to create those wishes?

4. Open your eyes. Look at your vision board and imagine it has three sections. One section is for BE. One is for DO. The other for HAVE.

5. At this point you can begin putting your vision board together. You can place your Be, Do, and Have sections on the board wherever you like.

BE Section

6. The power of your board is in your BE section. Vision boards aren't only about what you WANT. They're also about who you need to BE to get what you want. In fact, that needs to come first and may be the largest section of the three.

For example: Do you want your business to be wildly successful? Then how must you BE to attract success? Confident? Love-filled? Abundant-minded?

Cut out words that reflect the BEING state that will attract good fortune your way. Happy, Peaceful, Abundant, Power-filled, Friendly, Forgiving, Joy-filled, Purpose-filled, Successful, Balanced, etc.

Also cut out images that anchor your words. On my vision board I use images such as lotus flowers to symbolize wisdom and gold coins to symbolize abundance in wealth.

DO Section

7. What's the DO section about? ACTION!

Your DO section should reflect the 3-5 things you can DO this year to create the life you most want.

Do you want better health? Cut out pictures of someone exercising. Do you want more friends in your life? Cut out pictures of people that look like the friends you'd like to have.

Now, to add a little fun and energy to your board take the photograph of yourself, copy it several times and then cut out just your head. I know, it sounds funny! Paste your head on all of your DO images.

On my board I have a picture of me speaking to large groups of people, as well as a stock photo of a woman with her arms open wide receiving all the good fortune that comes her way. If you look close you'll see I pasted my head on her body! OK, I must admit this looks hysterical BUT the great thing is it helps me see myself actually DOING what I want to do! After seeing yourself, over and over again, taking the kind of actions that will yield results your subconscious will start believing it. When that happens...you'll be off and running!

HAVE Section

8. Your HAVE section is all about the things you WANT. More money, vacations, hardwood floors, fun with friends, cozy family time, etc.

Putting It All Together

Here's what's cool: When your vision board is complete you'll see how everything on your board works together. Your BE's will align with your DO's, your DO's will align well with your HAVE's and so forth. This alignment is important because it will be hard to get what you want if the whole of you - your being and your doing - isn't aligned with what you want.

Helpful Tips

· Keep it simple. The more simple the more focused you'll be. With that said, don't leave anything off your board if you really want it! Is there a new home in your future? Find a picture of your ideal home. Even if it's a few years away keep the dream of your new home in front of you.

· Edit. Before you tape or paste anything on your board arrange it and then do a quick edit. Check to see that your board looks good and more importantly feels good to you. Take a day or two and see if anything's missing and then add to your board if there is.

· Use words and images. If you can't find the words and images you need in magazines use your computer to write out the words you want in the color and style you want. That's what I did. It only takes a minute to do so and it will add a lot of authenticity to your board.

· Embellish your vision board with extras. For example: add 3 dimensional objects such as gold coins, feathers, seashells, rhinestones, or anything else that symbolizes the life you want to live.

· Be specific. If your dream house is a one-story rambler don't put a picture of a 2-story walkout. The universe likes specifics!

· Keep it very personal. Your vision board is for your eyes only. You only need to share it if you want to. You never want to be in a position where you need to make excuses for your vision board or apologize for it. Some people won't get it. That's their problem, not yours!

· Look at your board often! Once a day isn't too much!

· When you look at your board visualize yourself BEING, DOING, and HAVING everything on your board in detail and with feeling! Your board is something that will help you visualize the life you want in greater detail. The universe likes detail!

When you're done with your vision board take a picture of it and send me a copy! I'd love to see your work of art!
